Overview

The Marscoin Web Wallet at wallet.marscoin.org is the fastest way to start using Marscoin. There is nothing to download, no account to create, and no personal information required. Open the page, generate a wallet, and you are ready to send and receive MARS.

The wallet is non-custodial — your private keys are generated and stored in your browser. The server never sees your seed phrase or private keys. You are in full control of your funds at all times.

Key Features

HD Wallet

The web wallet uses hierarchical deterministic (HD) key generation. A single 12-word seed phrase generates all of your Marscoin addresses. This means:

• One backup (your seed phrase) protects all current and future addresses
• You can generate fresh receiving addresses for better privacy
• Your wallet can be fully restored from the seed phrase on any compatible client

Non-Custodial Architecture

Your keys are generated client-side using cryptographically secure random number generation in your browser. The seed phrase and private keys exist only in your browser’s memory and local storage. The wallet server facilitates blockchain communication but never has access to your keys.

This is a critical distinction from custodial wallets (like exchange wallets) where a third party holds your keys. With the web wallet, if the server goes down, you can still recover your funds using your seed phrase in any compatible Marscoin wallet.

Encrypted Backup

The web wallet supports encrypted backup of your wallet data. You can export an encrypted file that contains your wallet information, protected by a password you choose. This backup can be imported later to restore your wallet, providing an additional recovery method alongside the seed phrase.

Seed Phrase Recovery

If you lose access to your browser or device, your seed phrase is all you need to recover your wallet. Enter your 12 words into the web wallet (or any compatible HD wallet) and your full balance and transaction history will be restored.

3. Write down your 12-word seed phrase — this is your only backup. Store it offline in a secure location.
4. Confirm your seed phrase when prompted
5. Your wallet is ready — you will see your first receiving address

To receive MARS, share your address or display the QR code. To send MARS, enter the recipient’s address and amount.
